We spoke first with British Columbia real estate lawyer/action & adventure author, Kenneth Pazder, about his new book, “The Invisible Reich”, a compelling story centred around protagonist, Kenneth Joseph Ares Pearce, or KJ, a former member of the elite Canadian Special Forces squad. The thought-provoking novel invites readers to question their relationship with animals, including as sources of food, clothing, entertainment, victims of consumer product and medical testing, etc. Take it from me that it is definitely a page-turner! #InvisibleReich

We had some kid powah on the show! Kaiha and Tia Jaaj “get it”. They’re an animal activist sister act, who chatted with us about animal rights from their child-ly perspectives and the unique ways that each of them speaks up for our Earth, the vulnerable, and the “voiceless”.

As always, whoever brings the food seems to instantly become the most popular person in the room. Ilana Kadonoff, the founder of Canadian vegan dessert sensation, Sweets from the Earth, has my utmost gratitude for bringing carrot cake back into my life. But my husband and I are creeping towards the brink of bankruptcy due to his unnatural obsession with her cookies and squares. #sftebakery

How many times have you wished that you could know what’s going on inside with your fur/feather/scale/bristle baby? We spoke with Terri Beauchamp, an animal communicator, psychic medium, human and non-human Reiki practitioner, certified meditation instructor, and energy and emotional healer, who did a live reading of Flooky, one of my beloved furry companions! Go

visit her at Beyond Healing Pathways, Hamilton, Ontario’s crystal and healing shop, or connect with her online.

Ready to meet the coolest, kindest priest ever? Our final guest, Father Donatello Iocco, is the pastor at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Etobicoke, an area of Toronto, and we discussed with him the compatibility between animal rights and Christianity with its tenets of love, compassion, and mercy, and about encouraging the religious community to widen their circle of benevolence to include non-humans. And I didn’t realize until later that it was his birthday the day before, so I could have stuck a candle in one of those delectable Sweets from the Earth treats which Ilana so kindly brought along. Look for him on Facebook!

The Toronto Vegan Boat Cruise came to town on Friday, June 21st…and once again was a roaring success! Another amazing night cruising the Toronto Islands, enjoying delicious food and ethical products from vegan vendors, all the while benefiting Greys Haven Farm Sanctuary and Black Goat Farm Sanctuary. Vendors included Boon Burger Hamilton, The Hearty Hooligan, Sweet Sunshine Ice Cream, Vegan Hippie Chick, Nuts For Cheese, Sick On Sin, Plant Matter Kitchen, Pierogi Me, DoughBoy Donuts, Chef Doris Fin, and Serena Moon. As always, huge thanks to Chris for working his magic to make this show possible and to ThatChannel for allowing us the use of the space for a steal of a deal.
